ERG 2020 for Android 3.3.0

The PHMSA (U.S. Department of Transportation Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration)'s 2020 Emergency Response Guidebook is an essential resource for first responders when dealing with hazardous materials accidents in the critical first 30 minutes.

The ERG features an indexed list of dangerous goods with their associated ID numbers, providing vital information on the general hazards they pose and recommended safety precautions. For instance, in the event of an overturned tractor trailer displaying a DOT hazmat placard, emergency responders can quickly identify the material linked to the placard and access appropriate response guidance using the guidebook.

In its 2020 edition, the ERG brings significant improvements, including general revisions, reorganization of information pages, and the introduction of protective distance mapping. Updated every four years, this invaluable resource is available at no cost to public safety agencies in all states and territories through designated state coordinators' offices. To further support emergency responders, PHMSA has partnered with the National Library of Medicine to offer a free application of the ERG through their Wireless Information System for Emergency Responders (WISER) application.
